She finally said "Mama" last Sunday, although "Dada" is her favorite word by far. She is now eating oatmeal, rice cereal, vegetables, and some fruits. She likes bananas a lot, and Mark gave her squash for the first time last night. He said it's definitely her favorite food that she's tried so far. Last Sunday Mark decided that she should take the sacrament, so she's had bread too. She is getting better at sleeping and usually puts herself to sleep with very little fussing. She's still waking up at least once a night, but usually goes back to sleep after I feed her for 5-10 minutes. She is not crawling yet, but she can scoot backward and forward and is pretty good at reaching whatever it is she wants.
She still adores Benson as long as he's not taking toys away from her or trying to wrestle. Benson always gets the biggest laughs and smiles out of her. Her favorite two places are Benson's room on the floor with tons of toys within her reach and her high chair.
Brynn loves the camera and always gives me big smiles when I take pictures of her. She is also starting to react when she sees people she knows. Today at the gym, I walked in the kid's club to drop Benson off after tumbling. (Brynn was already in there.) She saw me and smiled really big, then started crying when she saw me leave. She also lights up whenver she sees her daddy. It's so cute.

Brynn is now 28 inches long and weighs about 22.5 pounds. (We had to weigh her on our scale at home, so it's not that accurate.) She is starting to get her two bottom teeth and is constantly putting things in her mouth. She's saying "Dada" and babbling a lot, but still no "Mama." :( She can move herself from sitting position to laying on her tummy, and she's can turn herself around to reach toys. She eats rice cereal, oatmeal, Cheerios, carrots, and peas. She's doesn't like peas that much, but she still eats them. She is a pretty good sleeper and has even slept from about 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. a few times, which is soooo nice for me.

Brynn is usually very calm and happy. At the gym childcare, all of the ladies talk about what a good, happy baby she is. She is very social and loves being talked to. She also loves dancing and thinks it is hilarious when Benson and I dance for her. Her favorite songs for dancing are "Start the Party" and "Party in the U.S.A."

When we arrived, we found out that it had been cancelled because of the weather. But the park has a good view of some expensive neighborhoods in Lubbock, so we stayed and watched the fireworks that the rich people were shooting off in their backyards. Benson thought it was a lot of fun, and I was glad that he didn't know what he was missing. It was so nice to spend family time together and celebrate the wonderful country in which we live and the freedoms we enjoy.

P.S. Benson is in a stage where he makes super weird faces for pictures and is always trying to look at the camera instead of letting us take the picture; hence, the weird looking picture included on this post.
